This notice explains how Positronic Props uses personal information when you browse the shop, contact me or place an order.
Who is responsible for your information?
Positronic Props is responsible for personal information used to run this shop. For privacy questions or requests, please use the contact page.
Information collected
When you order, the shop receives your name, email address, delivery address, items ordered, payment status and transaction references. Messages you send may include information needed to answer your enquiry or resolve an order issue. Hosting and payment services may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details for security and service operation.
Stripe handles payment details through its checkout. This website does not receive or store your full card number or card security code. Order and contact information is needed to process purchases and arrange delivery.
How your information is used
- To process payments, make and deliver your order, send order updates and handle returns: to fulfil the contract with you.
- To maintain required accounting records and respond to lawful requests: to meet legal obligations.
- To answer enquiries, protect the shop against fraud and resolve disputes: legitimate interests in customer service, security and protecting the business, balanced against your rights.
The current shop does not provide a marketing mailing list or use advertising trackers.
Service providers
Information needed to operate the shop is shared with payment provider Stripe, hosting and order storage provider Cloudflare, and the email service used for order confirmations (Resend when enabled). Delivery details are shared with Royal Mail and delivery partners to send your parcel. Information may also be supplied to professional advisers or authorities where necessary or legally required.
These services may process information outside the UK. Applicable transfer arrangements, including adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards where required, must be in place. Contact me for information about the arrangements applicable to your data.
Cookies & browser storage
The basket uses local storage on your device to remember selected products and quantities. It remains until removed or cleared through your browser settings. Checkout uses an order-reference cookie, lasting up to 24 hours, to let your browser securely retrieve payment confirmation. Clearing site data may empty your basket or prevent order confirmation from being displayed in that browser.
Stripe may use its own cookies and similar technologies on its checkout. Public Etsy reviews may be displayed on this website. If you follow an external link, that service's own privacy notice applies.
Keeping your information
Information should be retained only for as long as needed for its purpose. Order records are needed to fulfil purchases, handle returns and disputes, and meet applicable accounting and tax retention requirements. Enquiries are retained while being resolved and where needed for related follow-up or claims. Relevant legal deadlines and unresolved disputes determine whether records need to be kept longer.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.
